Who provides the service

Hastro (hastro.date, the app and the API) is provided by Honeydreams Softwares, a sole proprietorship registered in India, D’Decor, 639/A, Spring House Co-working, Najafgarh Road, Janakpuri, New Delhi 110058, India, GSTIN 07AYVPS6067Q1Z1 (“we”, “us”). By using Hastro you accept these terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not accept them, do not use the service.

Beta service

Hastro is in public beta. Features may change or be withdrawn, results may be corrected as regional conventions are reviewed, and the service may be interrupted without notice. Free features are provided free of charge; paid features, when offered, will carry their own price and terms shown at the time of purchase.

What Hastro is, and is not

Hastro computes the Hindu calendar, festival dates, muhurat windows and birth charts from astronomical positions and published traditional rules. It is offered for cultural, religious and informational purposes.

• Not advice. Nothing on Hastro is medical, legal, financial, matrimonial or other professional advice. Decisions about weddings, travel, business, property, health, money or any other matter are yours alone; consult a qualified professional, priest or astrologer where appropriate.
• Astrology. Muhurat scores, tara bala, chandra bala, kundali charts and similar content reproduce traditional astrological rules. They make no claim of scientific validity or predictive accuracy. Muhurat results are general candidate windows, not a personalised recommendation.
• Observances differ. Festival and vrata dates depend on your location, the sunrise definition, the month convention and the regional or sectarian tradition followed. Hastro shows which rule it applied to each date. Always confirm important observances with your family tradition, temple or local panchang.
• Accuracy. Astronomical values are computed with stated tolerances (about 1 arcsecond for the Sun and 10 arcseconds for the Moon). Rule data is versioned and under continuing review; some rules are marked unverified. We welcome error reports and correct rules as we confirm them, but we do not guarantee that any date, time or chart is correct or complete.

Acceptable use

You may use Hastro for personal, family, community and commercial purposes provided you:

• do not overload, probe or interfere with the service; automated access must respect robots.txt, the published rate limits and the page window we expose to crawlers;
• do not use the API without a key where a key is required, share keys, or circumvent limits;
• do not submit personal data of others without their permission, or unlawful, abusive or deceptive content through forms;
• do not misrepresent Hastro output as certified, official or authoritative, or present it under another brand without attribution. We may suspend access that breaches these terms.

Intellectual property

The site, app, engine, rule data, texts, designs and the Hastro name and logo are owned by Honeydreams Softwares or its licensors. You may share and quote computed results, screenshots and PDFs for personal or non-commercial purposes with attribution to hastro.date. Names of festivals, tithis, nakshatras and similar traditional terms belong to no one. Third-party components remain under their own licences.

Third-party services

Hastro relies on Cloudflare, Hetzner, Google Analytics (with your consent) and Resend. Their availability and terms are outside our control. Links to other websites are provided for convenience; we are not responsible for their content.

Disclaimer of warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Hastro is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, non-infringement and uninterrupted or error-free operation.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Honeydreams Softwares is not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special or punitive loss, or for loss of profit, data, goodwill or opportunity, arising from your use of or reliance on Hastro, including decisions taken on the basis of any date, time, score or chart. Our total liability for all claims relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us for it in the twelve months before the claim, which for free use is nil. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any liability that cannot be excluded under the law that applies to you. If you are a consumer in the European Union, the United Kingdom, Australia or another jurisdiction with mandatory consumer protection, those protections are unaffected by these terms.

Indemnity

You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your breach of these terms or your unlawful use of the service, to the extent permitted by the law that applies to you.

Changes and termination

We may change these terms by publishing a new version on this page with a new date; continued use after that date is acceptance. We may withdraw or change any part of the service at any time. You may stop using Hastro at any time; account holders may request deletion of their account and data.

Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to the next paragraph, the courts at New Delhi, India have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from Hastro or these terms.

If you are a consumer resident in the European Union, the United Kingdom or another country whose law gives you the right to bring proceedings in your home courts, nothing in these terms takes that right away, and the mandatory consumer laws of your country continue to apply. The European Commission provides an online dispute resolution platform at https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr; we are not obliged to and do not participate in alternative dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration body.

Grievances and contact

Complaints about the service or these terms, including under the Indian Consumer Protection Act, 2019 and the Information Technology Rules, 2021, may be addressed to the Grievance Officer, Honeydreams Softwares, at [email protected] or the postal address above. We acknowledge grievances within 24 hours and aim to resolve them within 15 days.
